Our Guardian Home Program—in a Nutshell

Our Guardian Home Program allows select breeding dogs to live with loving local families as cherished family pets while remaining part of the Hearts Full of Puppies breeding program.

Your Guardian Dog lives with you as her permanent family, while Hearts Full of Puppies retains legal ownership and breeding rights during her time in our program. Female Guardian Dogs may have up to four litters. When needed for breeding and pregnancy-related care, she will spend time with us, including approximately 8–9 weeks with us when she gives birth and raises her puppies.

Guardian Families provide a safe, loving home and are responsible for normal pet care, including food, routine veterinary care, grooming, training, exercise, and socialization. Hearts Full of Puppies covers breeding-related expenses and health testing.

A $500 Guardian Home deposit is required at placement and is refundable upon successful completion of the breeding commitment. At successful completion, Hearts Full of Puppies also pays for her spay and transfers full ownership to the Guardian Family.

Guardian Families must live within approximately one hour of Nephi, Utah.

If your application appears to be a good fit, our next step will be to send you an email with more details about our Guardian Home Program and set up an interview. This will give you an opportunity to review the program more thoroughly, ask questions, and make sure a Guardian Home arrangement feels right for everyone before moving forward.

Submitting this application is for consideration purposes only. It does not create a binding agreement or guarantee placement of a Guardian Dog.
